About The Position

The Admin Specialist will be responsible for interpreting and entering client samples into the computer system, managing large projects, maintaining client files, delivering rush samples, and serving as an information contact at the receipt of samples in an efficient and detailed manner with a high degree of quality. This role applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility and upholds the highest quality standards. The position requires strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration, with a focus on proactive planning and multitasking to maximize productivity and meet all quality and productivity metrics. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Log samples into Lab Management Information System (LIMS) and assign testing by using a client supplied sample submission form.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies and communicate with sample and/or project managers.
  • Label samples and perform a label audit step to ensure accuracy of entry.
  • Ensuring sample integrity is maintained which includes proper storage, inventory and reconciliation.
  • Read, understand, and carry out SOPs; follow all safety precautions and procedures.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and to move easily from task to task.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and learn necessary programs.
  • Organizational ability and good judgment.
