About The Position

This position involves teaching TMA 384 Practicum: Cinematic Skills - Storyboarding in the Evening School program. The instructor will follow a provided syllabus or may submit their own for consideration. Responsibilities include managing the classroom and the digital learning management system, and meeting with students outside of class as needed. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 5-6:50 PM. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to and reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

• BA or BFA in film and/or visual media studies/production, or a closely related field (degree must be completed by the start date)
• Two-plus (2+) years of professional experience in storyboarding
• Demonstrable understanding of and experience in storyboarding for live action Film, TV, and Media
• Knowledge of TV, Film, and Media sets best practices
• Understanding of storyboarding’s usage anywhere in the production workflow pipeline
• Successful candidate must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

• One-plus (1+) years of university-teaching experience
• Experience teaching outside of university settings
• Understanding of similar usage in Animation
