About The Position

Adjunct Teaching position in the School of Music, focusing on Music 160/260 Classical Voice. This role involves teaching classical voice to music majors, participating in jury panels, holding weekly studio master classes, and team-teaching first-year vocal performance majors. Other duties may include teaching class voice and voice lessons for non-majors. A strong commitment to the mission of BYU and student mentoring is expected. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in music is required. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Excellent evaluations in profession/teaching classical voice.
  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU Leadership and student mentoring
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teach classical voice to music majors
  • Participate on jury panels for recitals and recital hearings
