About The Position

The Cline School of Music at North Greenville University is seeking an adjunct bass instructor. The primary responsibility will be teaching private bass lessons to undergraduate students. North Greenville University is a teaching university of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is a tobacco and alcohol-free campus. All NGU professors are expected to be orthodox Christians who have a strong personal faith, are role models in their piety and ethics, are regularly reflecting upon how their faith influences their discipline and are willing and able to mentor students in their own relationship with Jesus Christ. Requirements

• Master’s degree in bass music or a related field.
• Supports NGU’s mission statement and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle and character in keeping with biblical model.

• Evidence of scholarly potential.

Responsibilities

• Teaching private bass lessons to undergraduate students, including majors, minors, and elective.
• Prepare for course(s) by organizing and becoming familiar with student material.
• Prepare lesson plans and course material as required.
• Effectively organize and present subject matter to students.
• Objectively assess students for academic performance.
• Ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation.
• Effectively utilize Canvas learning management system.
• Appropriately maintain student records, grades, and attendance to ensure accuracy.
• Meet all university deadlines for syllabi and grade submission.
