About The Position

This position involves teaching Psych 358: Leadership Development in the Evening School program. The course covers a range of topics including leadership theories, motivation, emotional intelligence, communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, ethical decision-making, and personal development. A key expectation is to prepare students to critically evaluate research literature related to leadership. The department emphasizes values such as belonging, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research. The specific days and times for the class are to be determined and could be either a day or evening class.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Have the knowledge and ability to teach principles of effective leadership grounded in psychological science.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
