About The Position

The Department of Psychology at West Virginia University is seeking applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions. The department has needs for teaching in various areas at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including general Psychology, advanced behavior analysis and behaviorism, research methods, neuroscience, and development across the lifespan for undergraduates. For graduate students, needs include coursework and practicum supervision in behavior analysis, lifespan development, foundational neuroscience, or clinical psychology. The successful candidate will teach courses in person or online within the Department of Psychology's undergraduate and graduate programs. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed as openings become available. Salary is determined per course taught.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related discipline.
  • Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Doctoral degree holders are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses.
  • Master’s degree holders are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Psychology’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
