About The Position

This position is for an adjunct instructor to teach GWS 397R: Editing for Publication for the Summer 2026 term only. The instructor will be responsible for guiding students through the editing and formatting of biographical entries in preparation for publication. This role requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in English or Publishing.
  • Prior experience teaching university-level courses.
  • Experience discussing potentially sensitive topics in a manner that advances the goals and mission of Brigham Young University.
  • Experience editing biographical entries and guiding students through the editing process.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree plus experience teaching/ writing in GWS-related subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Teach GWS 397R: Editing for Publication.
  • Work with students on editing and formatting biographical entries in preparation for sending the current GWS project for publication.
