About The Position
This is a grant-funded position open to current Full Time Internal Faculty Only. It offers a 3-credit reduced load per semester and includes a stipend: Fall/Spring $500 per semester, Summer $2160, and Winter $540. The role coordinates professional development activities for faculty and staff aimed at improving student retention and engagement.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time faculty member
Responsibilities
- Schedules Professional Development activities for instruction in all delivery modes and secures presenters and delivery format (in person, zoom)
- Ensures adjunct faculty and presenters are compensated for participating in training (when applicable)
- Recommends annual Adjunct Academy programming and coordinates the event
- Offers practical strategies to create a classroom environment which encourages creativity and engagement
- Offers practical strategies to create a classroom which is non-threatening and conducive to collaboration and student interaction
