About The Position

This position involves the instruction of university undergraduates for a Geography of Urban Environments class during the Fall 2026 term. The instructor will be responsible for giving and grading assignments and holding office hours as needed. The course is scheduled to be taught on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM. The successful candidate is not expected to attend department meetings. This position requires the candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Applicants are required to submit an updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and a Mission Alignment Statement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Geography or a related field completed by the start date.
  • Teaching experience and/or excellent knowledge of Urban Geography.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • Attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.

  • Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
