About The Position

The Online Geography Instructor is responsible for teaching geography courses in a fully online environment using the D2L Brightspace learning management system. This position requires effective communication, timely responsiveness to students, and accurate recordkeeping and reporting. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in Geography, Geosciences, or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Geography or Geosciences. Preference is given to candidates with a master’s degree in Geography or Geosciences, previous online teaching experience, and proficiency with D2L Brightspace. Applicants must be Tennessee residents and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and student support skills.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Geography or Geosciences or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of Geography or Geosciences.
• Must be state of TN resident.

• Master’s degree in a Geography or Geosciences.
• Previous online teaching experience desired.
• Knowledge teaching in Brightspace (D2L).
