About The Position

This position involves teaching Art History courses, specifically ARTHC 111: Introduction to Art History; ARTHC 201: World Civilization to 1500; and ARTHC 202: World Civilization Since 1500. The role requires preparing lesson plans, grading assignments, teaching courses, and mentoring students. The position is for the Evening School and requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Applicants are required to submit a curriculum vitae, cover letter, and a Mission Alignment Statement. New employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold a current temple recommend and abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. All employees are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

  • MA required (must be completed by the start date)
  • Training in art history and curatorial studies
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment
  • Submit updated curriculum vitae
  • Submit cover letter
  • Submit Mission Alignment Statement
  • Hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend (for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
