About The Position

Ottawa University is accepting applications for potential openings for Adjunct Instructor positions in Sociology. The need for these positions is undetermined and dependent on operational needs such as enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this general adjunct posting. Adjunct instructors are employed to teach undergraduate/graduate level coursework for its adult campuses. Many adjunct instructors hold full-time careers elsewhere and teach in evening, weekend, and online programs. Requirements

• Earned Doctorate or a master's degree in a related field, with 18+ graduate credit hours in the discipline being taught.
• Five years of academic and professional teaching experience within the teaching content.
• Experience with Blackboard or other similar online course platforms.
• Experience with Zoom, Skype, or WebEx.
• A completed employment application.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate/graduate level coursework in Sociology.
• Be mindful and supportive of the Mission of Ottawa University.
