About The Position

The College of Science and Humanities at Husson University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty pool in Psychology. This posting will remain open for up to one year to build a pool of qualified candidates who may be considered for future teaching opportunities as departmental needs arise. Assignments may include day or evening courses and are expected to be delivered at Husson University's Bangor campus. The Psychology program serves students pursuing careers in mental health, healthcare, human services, rehabilitation, business, and related fields. We seek instructors who are committed to student-centered teaching and helping students develop a strong foundation in psychological theory, research, and practice.

Requirements

  • An earned Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the specialty areas listed.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A PhD, PsyD, or other terminal degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Prior experience with college-level teaching or instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in areas such as General Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Behavior Modification, Diversity and Multiculturalism, Gerontology, Introduction to Counseling and Psychotherapy, Physiological Psychology, Research Methods, and Trauma and Recovery.
  • Provide student-centered teaching.
  • Help students develop a strong foundation in psychological theory, research, and practice.
  • Convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Provide engaging, inclusive, and student-centered instruction.
