About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Adjunct professors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction within the established curriculum, including preparing and delivering lectures, administering and grading exams, and providing academic support to students. Requirements

• Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
• Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

Responsibilities

• Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
• Preparing and delivering lectures to students
• Compiling, administering and grading examinations
• Providing academic assistance to students as needed
