About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking resumes for an Adjunct Professor in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture within the School of Business & Technology. Adjunct professors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the college's curriculum. This includes preparing and presenting lectures, administering and grading exams, and providing academic support to students. Requirements

• Doctoral or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or other related engineering or construction discipline.
• OR Doctoral or Master’s degree in a field related to course content plus two (2) years full-time industry construction experience.
• OR MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or other related engineering or construction discipline, plus two (2) years full-time industry construction experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• OR Alternative Qualifications (additional documentation required): [Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or other related engineering or construction discipline]; AND [five (5) years full-time industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility]; AND [a respective professional license or certification in a field such as Certified General Contractor, Certified Professional Building Designer, Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, Registered Architect, Certified Professional Contractor or other recognized industry credential].

Responsibilities

• Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
• Preparing and delivering lectures to students
• Compiling, administering and grading examinations
• Providing academic assistance to students as needed
