About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the Cardiovascular Technology Program within the School of Allied Health. Adjunct professors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction within the established curriculum. This includes teaching courses, preparing and presenting lectures and labs, administering and grading exams, and providing academic support to students. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the college's mission of inspiring students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a related Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • A Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral degree in a healthcare related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
  • Preparing and delivering lectures/labs to students
  • Compiling, administering, and grading examinations
  • Providing academic assistance to students as needed
