About The Position

TCAT Jacksboro is hiring Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructors to substitute and/or assist with lectures, labs, and clinical settings. The part-time instructor teaches and supervises nursing students in on-campus classroom and laboratory settings and off-campus clinical settings. Selected applicants will work on a PRN basis. Clinical sites are in the surrounding areas of the campus, and travel may be required. This position reports to the Coordinator of Nursing and Allied Health.

Requirements

• Hold a current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Tennessee.
• Have a minimum of three years of experience as an RN within the last five years.
• Have an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Possess communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
• Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and a mature attitude.
• Be willing to remain current in the nursing profession.
• Be able to adapt quickly to new technology.
• Be willing to coordinate and work with other nursing instructors and staff members.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise nursing students in on-campus classroom and laboratory settings and off-campus clinical settings.
• Evaluate and advise students.
• Maintain records and complete reports.
• Participate in program development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel as required.
