About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable learning opportunities. As one of the largest community colleges in Michigan, OCC serves over 12,000 students across multiple campuses. OCC is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical conduct. Adjunct Faculty are expected to utilize modern technology in the classroom. Applications are continuously accepted for a candidate pool, and instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year based on enrollment. When a need arises, candidates from the pool are reviewed, and the Department will contact selected individuals directly. Candidates not residing in Michigan will be employed through Edustaff, with employment offers, salary, and benefits provided by Edustaff, not OCC. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physics
  • Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred
  • Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment
  • Online teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach anticipated day and/or evening Physics courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
  • Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
