(Pool) Adjunct Instructor - Physics

About The Position

Wilson Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for when a job is available to be filled for class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time; however, after a review of qualifications, applicants may be contacted in the future. Part-time/adjunct faculty provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered. Teach a variety of physics courses to include conceptual physics, algebraic and calculus-based physics.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in physics or a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in physics
  • Unofficial transcripts must be included with your online application before submission or sent directly to Human Resources immediately after applying.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of teaching experience
  • Experience with online instruction
  • Experience with Moodle

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes
  • Maintain and submit accurate attendance
  • Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades
  • Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor
