About The Position
The History Department at Saint Peter’s University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach undergraduate courses in either premodern history or modern world history. Saint Peter's University is one of 27 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Requirements
- Master's degree (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in History or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated content expertise in premodern history, modern world history, or both
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience at the college/university level preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more sections of premodern history (e.g., ancient, medieval, or early modern) or modern world history courses per term
- Develop syllabi, deliver lectures/discussions, and assess student learning in accordance with departmental standards
- Be available to support student learning through virtual meetings or office hours
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
