Adjunct - AY27 Nursing Instructor, Medical/Surgical
About The Position
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate students in the Adjunct Nursing Instructor role, focusing on Medical/Surgical for the 2027 Academic School Year. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing; OR Bachelor’s degree in Nursing AND Master’s in Health Education or Health Science; OR the equivalent
- At least one year of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years
- One (1) year’s continuous full time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; or One (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency and completion of at least one year of experience teaching courses related to nursing or a course which includes practice in teaching nursing.
- A current California RN License.

Responsibilities
- Facilitating student learning by designing varied interactive learning environments
- Working as a team with staff and administrators to create innovative educational experiences and providing an environment where students are partners in learning
- Assisting in program planning, peer evaluation, educational project development and participating in personal and professional growth, as well as, professional development activities.
Benefits
- Office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments
- Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
