About The Position

Bethune-Cookman University is seeking an Adjunct Mathematics-Pool instructor to teach undergraduate mathematics courses. Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Mathematics or related field with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
  • Previous college-level teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching developmental mathematics, college algebra, or pre-calculus.
  • Familiarity with online or hybrid instruction.
  • Experience using Canvas or similar learning management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate mathematics courses as assigned (such as developmental mathematics, college algebra, pre-calculus, or general education mathematics).
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and instructional materials.
  • Develop and administer quizzes, exams, assignments, and other assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
  • Hold office hours or scheduled student support sessions as required.
  • Respond promptly to student questions and provide academic guidance.
  • Submit grades and required reports by university deadlines.
  • Utilize the Canvas learning management system and instructional technology.
  • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Follow university policies and departmental procedures.
  • Participate in faculty meetings or professional development activities as requested.
