About The Position

The Modern Languages Department at Bentley University is accepting applications for a part-time Adjunct Lecturer, Spanish for the Fall 2026 semester. Applicants must be available to teach between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Courses are scheduled Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Friday.

Requirements

  • MA required.
  • Native or near-native competency in Spanish is required.
  • Have at least two years of teaching experience.
  • Have experience using and developing a range of learning materials.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Spanish Basic and Intermediate courses
  • Create an effective classroom environment that fosters student’s curiosities and abilities to practice their language skills.
  • Deliver course content that meets learning outcomes and encourage student’s active participation in the classroom and beyond.
  • Promote the study of languages, including the Language, Culture and Business major.
  • Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision.
  • Hold office hours.
