About The Position

The Master of Social Work program at Regis College seeks adjunct instructors with primary responsibility to teach policy and research courses in the generalist level curriculum. In the MSW program, students are prepared to become clinical social workers. Instructor will teach asynchronous course/s and must be available for offering 1-2 optional live class sessions during the 8-week term. Provide office hours and excellent communication to online students; Be available in the online classroom as needed for students (recommend checking-in the classroom four days per week); Assign grades and provide relevant and substantive feedback in a timely manner through the Moodle classroom; Respond to student email inquiries within 24 hours weekdays, 48 hours weekends, utilizing the university email account; Participate in regular remote meetings, trainings, and faculty development opportunities. Meet periodically with program director.

Requirements

  • CSWE-accredited MSW degree
  • Interest in teaching social work macro and research courses
  • Minimum of two years post-MSW experience
  • Ability to uphold the university’s mission, values, and commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
  • Must work remotely and have reliable internet access
  • Must schedule optional synchronous class meetings and other meetings on Eastern Time.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW or LICSW (clinical) licensure
  • Experience in teaching online in post-secondary education settings
  • Demonstrated skill in online teaching
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, LMS-Moodle, PackBack, and willingness to learn technology tools used to support student learning

Responsibilities
