About The Position

The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College invites applications for an Adjunct Professor position for the Fall 2026 semester. Located on a picturesque campus in Weston, Massachusetts, Regis College is a CSJ values-centered institution known for its commitment to academic excellence, student success, and experiential learning in STEM fields. We seek an enthusiastic educator to teach General Chemistry I for STEM majors (CH 103) and its accompanying laboratory. This foundational course serves primarily first-year undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Exercise Science, and Neuroscience. This position offers the opportunity to engage closely with motivated students in a supportive and collaborative department. At Regis College, we deeply value our adjunct faculty as vital members of our academic community and support their professional success. While this is a single-semester appointment, there may be opportunities for teaching future courses within the department. The successful candidate will teach both lecture and laboratory components in person on the Weston campus. The schedule is as follows: Lecture: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 - 9:50 AM Laboratory sections: Wednesday 1:00 – 4:00 PM Classes begin August 31, 2026. Lab sessions start the second week of the semester. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the ability to connect chemistry concepts to real world examples.

Requirements

  • An earned MS in Chemistry
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
  • Ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.
  • Familiarity with academic assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • PhDs preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience (lectures and labs) at the undergraduate level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach CH 103-02 (lecture) and CH 103XA-02 (lab) as an in-person course
  • Engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching: grading, office hours, student engagement, lab preparation and set-up as needed, curriculum alignment with other course sections, and academic assessment.
