About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable quality learning opportunities. As one of the largest community colleges in Michigan, OCC serves over 12,000 students across its multi-campus system. OCC is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical conduct. A key requirement for adjunct faculty is the commitment to utilizing modern technology in the classroom. Applications for adjunct positions are accepted on a continuous basis and are maintained in a candidate pool. Adjunct Instructors are hired as needed throughout the academic year based on enrollment demands. When a need arises, candidates from the pool are reviewed, and the Department will contact them directly. Candidates without legal residency in Michigan will be employed through Edustaff, with employment offers, salary, and benefits managed by Edustaff, not OCC. Requirements

• Master's degree in Interior Design OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years recent work experience OR Associate's degree and 8 years recent work experience.
• Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.

• Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment.
• Online teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach anticipated day and/or evening Interior Design courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
• Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
