About The Position

As Interior Design Staff, you will help bring our clients' spaces to life — assisting across every phase of interior design projects, from concept and space planning through construction documentation and contract administration, working alongside senior designers on a multidisciplinary team. You'll build hands-on experience with Revit, take part in client and consultant meetings, and grow your ability to translate design concepts into real, buildable solutions. Your primary client projects will be within the Workplace, Sports, & Entertainment markets. This role offers the chance to work across a variety of project types, learn directly from experienced mentors, and grow toward full NCIDQ certification and greater design ownership — all within an employee-owned firm where your work shapes how people experience the spaces they live, learn, and work in.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent in education and experience required for professional certification.
0-5 years of post-graduate interior design professional experience.
Working toward certification with strong commitment to continuous learning. Must be committed to Interior Design Staff passing the National Council of Interior Design Qualification Examination (NCIDQ)
Competent in Revit/AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign that displays a creative talent in conceptual design and rendering.
Competent technical, written and oral communication skills, including preparing for and performing presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

Produce coordinated, presentation-ready design deliverables. Create and coordinate contract drawing sets using Revit or AutoCAD, assist in selecting furniture, fixtures, and finishes, and prepare renderings and presentation materials using SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign for client design reviews.
Act as a reliable liaison between the design team and clients. Attend site visits and field reviews, communicate design ideas clearly to clients and project teams, and report schedule or budget deviations to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Build a working foundation in codes, sustainability, and QA/QC. Develop a working understanding of applicable building codes, LEED and universal design guidelines, and contribute to the team's quality assurance/quality control process on assigned projects.
Progress toward NCIDQ certification while ramping up on firm standards. Within your first year, build proficiency in the firm's Revit/CAD standards and documentation process, and maintain active progress toward passing the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exams.
Grow as a collaborative, client-focused team member. Participate in "Lessons Learned" sessions and professional development activities, stay current on furnishings trends, and bring initiative to new responsibilities as your skills and confidence grow.
