About The Position

St. Norbert College is accepting applications on a continuing basis for instructors qualified to teach courses in Communication. These courses may cover topics such as communication studies, sports communication, journalism, public relations, business communication, or media studies. This is a pool position, meaning applications will be reviewed as staffing needs arise, and applications remain active for up to two years. The dean of arts and sciences will contact interested applicants for interviews. Adjunct faculty may also be needed for last-minute vacancies. Decisions are at the discretion of the dean, and meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance.

Requirements

  • MA degree in Communication or a related field.
  • At least five years of professional experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated currency in the field at the time of appointment (work experience, publications, licensure, presentations, or equivalent within the last five years).
  • Submit a current curriculum vitae.
  • Submit an introductory cover letter.
  • Submit evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching students at the undergraduate level.
  • PhD.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Communication, potentially focusing on communication studies, sports communication, journalism, public relations, business communication, or media studies.
