About The Position

Wheeling University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in the MBA program within the Department of Business, beginning January 2027. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level MBA courses in a fully in-person format and support the University’s mission. Requirements

• Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business or a related discipline.
• Prior college-level teaching experience.
• Relevant professional experience in the field.
• Basic proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems, such as Canvas.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned in-person courses following the approved curriculum.
• Prepare and share course syllabi and materials.
• Lead engaging classroom instruction and activities.
• Take attendance and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Hold on-campus office hours to support students.
• Provide timely feedback and grading.
• Refer students to campus resources as needed.
• Keep accurate grade records and submit grades on time.
• Uphold academic integrity standards.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Follow institutional policies and procedures.
• Communicate with department leadership as needed.
• Stay current in the subject area and teaching practices.
