About The Position
Jamestown Community College anticipates potential part-time openings for Health Information Technology (HIT) instructors for upcoming spring, summer, and fall semesters at its Cattaraugus Campus. Course coverage needs and class times vary by semester. This is an ongoing pool posting; applicants will be contacted as needed. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field.
- RHIT or RHIA credential is required. Other relevant AHIMA, AAPC, or clinical certifications may be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Recent professional experience in healthcare coding, CDI, compliance, revenue cycle, or HIM operations.
- Prior online teaching or training experience.
- Familiarity with online course delivery and learning management systems such as Brightspace.
- Experience integrating healthcare technologies or emerging tools into instruction.
