Adjunct Instructor - School of Sport Sciences - College of Applied Human Sciences
About The Position
The School of Sport Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on a per-course basis, contingent upon programmatic need. Courses may be delivered in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. Instructional needs may include applied anatomy, sport biomechanics and sport physiology; esports business and entertainment; health, wellness and physical activity; physical education and kinesiology; sport coaching; sport, exercise and performance psychology; sport leadership; sport management; and strength and conditioning. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed as needs arise. Compensation is determined per course. These positions are typically not benefits-eligible; eligibility may vary depending on instructional load and departmental need.
Requirements
- A master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
- Evidence of effective teaching in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses on a per-course basis, as programmatic needs arise.
- Deliver courses in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
- Teach courses in one or more relevant subject areas, potentially including applied anatomy, sport biomechanics and physiology, esports business and entertainment, health and wellness, physical education and kinesiology, sport coaching, sport psychology, sport leadership and management, and strength and conditioning.
