Adjunct Instructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the ongoing development of instructional strategies that promote student success. This role involves fostering student learning, assessing student progress, developing curriculum, managing the classroom environment, participating in team activities, engaging with the business community, supporting student success, and pursuing professional development. Adjunct instructors are hired on a per-course basis, with total hours ranging from approximately 3 to 8 hours per week. Courses are taught in traditional classrooms and alternative delivery formats, which may include day, evening, and weekend classes. Upon hire, new adjunct faculty are required to complete mandatory, non-compensated training within 30 days and additional training within the first three years to qualify to teach in the Wisconsin Technical College System.
