About The Position
NYU Tandon's Department of Technology, Culture and Society is seeking an adjunct instructor for DM-UY 4173: Professional Practices for Creatives. This is a 3-credit course for upper-level undergraduates (junior/senior standing) in the Integrated Design and Media Program. The course equips students with the practical skills and professional savvy needed to launch a career in creative fields. Topics include documenting and presenting creative work, self-promotion, exhibiting work in public and online contexts, networking, and general career preparation.
Requirements
- Active professional experience in a creative field (design, digital media, art, or related industry)
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining a creative career, including self-promotion and exhibition experience
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop-facilitation experience
- Strong communication skills and genuine interest in supporting students' professional development
