About The Position

Spalding University's School of Liberal Arts invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate classes in College Writing. Contracts may be renewed for additional terms based on departmental needs, funding ability, and candidate performance. A minimum of a Master’s degree in English, Composition or a related discipline is required. College Writing courses are part of the University Studies requirements at Spalding University.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience in higher education is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in-person classes Mondays through Thursdays for 8 weeks.
  • Participating in professional development sessions with other first-year writing instructors
  • Following School of Liberal Arts and University standards for course syllabi and LMS (Canvas)
