About The Position

Shorter University, a Christ-centered liberal arts institution, invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Christian Studies housed under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The person selected for this position is expected to have a strong desire to teach and mentor undergraduate students in traditional and online classes. The ideal candidate would possess academic and ministerial experience. Teaching responsibilities will include Survey courses in the areas of Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Ministry, and related classes. Applicants must have a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in hand or be ABD in an appropriate field (i.e. New Testament, Old Testament, Missions, Ministry, etc.) when the position begins. Furthermore, the person selected for this position must embrace the University’s Statement of Faith and its Lifestyle Statement. Shorter University is a Christ-centered University affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and requires employees to be committed Christians.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in hand or be ABD in an appropriate field (i.e. New Testament, Old Testament, Missions, Ministry, etc.) when the position begins.
