(Pool) Adjunct Instructor - Music (Applied Lessons)

About The Position

Wilson Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for potential future class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time. Applicants will be contacted in the future after a review of qualifications. Part-time/adjunct faculty are responsible for providing quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered. The role involves providing one-on-one applied lessons in brass, woodwind, percussion, strings, voice, or piano, and may also include teaching general music classes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in music or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in music, specifically in their area of expertise (e.g. brass, woodwind, voice, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of teaching experience.
  • Experience with online instruction.
  • Experience with Moodle.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes.
  • Maintain and submit accurate attendance.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades.
  • Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor.
