About The Position

The Midwifery Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Instructor. SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is one of the nation's leading metropolitan medical centers and the only academic medical center in Brooklyn. The successful candidate will teach specific courses for the Fall Semester, conduct curriculum development and dissemination, and grade written assignments as well as both written and practical examinations.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher in Midwifery, Public Health or Nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of classroom teaching experience.
  • 5+ years full-scope clinical midwifery practice.

Responsibilities

  • Teach NRMW 5116 Advanced Pathophysiology & Primary Care for the Fall Semester.
  • Teach NRMW 5408 Advanced Comprehensive Health Assessment for the Fall Semester.
  • Conduct curriculum development and dissemination.
  • Grade written assignments as well as both written and practical examinations.
