About The Position
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, a leading metropolitan medical center and the only academic medical center in Brooklyn, is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Instructor for its Midwifery Program in the School of Health Professions. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching specific courses, contributing to curriculum development, and grading assignments and examinations. Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in Midwifery, Public Health or Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of classroom teaching experience.
- 5+ years full-scope clinical midwifery practice.
Responsibilities
- Teach NRMW 5116 Advanced Pathophysiology & Primary Care for the Fall Semester.
- Teach NRMW 5408 Advanced Comprehensive Health Assessment for the Fall Semester.
- Conduct curriculum development and dissemination.
- Grade written assignments as well as both written and practical examinations.
