About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Instructor to teach "Physics 101," an introductory algebra-based physics course. The course is a part-time, one-semester contract with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom. This Fall semester course will be offered in person on the East Falls campus. There are three available sections: TR 10.15–12.15pm, TR 8.30-10.45am and MWF 11.30-1.00pm. Classes begin on August 24 and final grades are due by December 21.

Requirements

  • Qualified to teach "Physics 101," an introductory algebra-based physics course.
  • Dynamic and experienced teacher.
  • Applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.
  • M.A., Ph.D. (or ABD) in Physics or related field.
