About The Position

This is a part-time, one-semester contract position with the possibility of renewal, within the College of Humanities and Sciences. The role involves teaching "Physics 201 lab," an introductory calculus-based physics lab for science majors. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom. The Fall semester course is offered in person on the East Falls campus on Mondays from 3:30 PM to 6:15 PM. Classes begin on August 24th, and final grades are due by December 21st.

Requirements

  • Qualified to teach "Physics 201 lab."
  • Dynamic and experienced teacher.
  • Applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.
  • M.A., Ph.D. (or ABD) in Physics or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach "Physics 201 lab," an introductory calculus-based physics lab for students in science majors.
  • Apply active student-learning methods in the classroom.
  • Conduct classes on the East Falls campus on Mondays from 3:30 PM to 6:15 PM.
  • Submit final grades by December 21st.
