The Department of Natural Sciences at Merrimack College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Immunology, BIO3012, during the Fall 2026 semester. This course is designed for both undergraduate and graduate students, introducing fundamental immunology principles and allowing for advanced study at the graduate level. The curriculum will encompass major topics in cellular and molecular immunology, including innate and adaptive immunity, immune cell development and function, antigen recognition and presentation, antibody structure and function, cytokine signaling, immune tolerance, hypersensitivity, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, transplantation, vaccines, and the immune response to infectious disease. The course will also integrate current research and clinical applications of immunology. The instructor will be responsible for delivering content suitable for both student levels, developing and administering assessments, grading, maintaining course materials on the College's learning management system, and establishing differentiated expectations and assignments for graduate students.
