The Department of Natural Sciences at Merrimack College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Immunology, BIO3012 during the Fall 2026 semester. This course is designed for both undergraduate and graduate students, introducing fundamental immunology principles and offering advanced study opportunities at the graduate level. Topics covered include innate and adaptive immunity, immune cell development and function, antigen recognition, antibody structure and function, cytokine signaling, immune tolerance, hypersensitivity, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, transplantation, vaccines, and immune responses to infectious diseases. The course will also integrate current research and clinical applications. The instructor will be responsible for delivering content suitable for both levels, developing and administering assessments, grading student work, managing course materials via the learning management system, and establishing differentiated expectations for graduate students.
