About The Position

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Gerontology or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Gerontology (GEY 2000)
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology Education, or related field or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field and extensive experience working with youth in either a community or school-based program (HUS 1203, 1620, 1640)
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Social Work, Psychology, or related field and Licensed Florida mental health professional (e.g., mental health counselor, marriage and family counselor, social worker) with experience in the addictions field or Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) Certification (HUS 1421, 1423, 1440, 1450, 142)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
