About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Adjunct Faculty team starting in the Fall 2026 semester. Requirements

Master’s Degree required from an accredited college or university.
Must be a CPC approved instructor to teach the PMCC Medical Coding course using the AAPC coding curriculum.
Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
Experience with online delivery systems (D2L Brightspace) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom instruction in the Business department.
Teach specific Health Information Management and Technology courses: HITC 100, Introduction to Medical Office Procedures; HITC 200 Medical Billing, Insurance and Health Record Review; HITC 210 Health Information and Physician Practice Management; HITC 110, Medical Coding.
Evaluate student performance.
Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, Adjunct faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
