About The Position

Messiah University’s nursing programs emphasize ethical and critical decision making; evidence-based nursing knowledge and practice; use of current technology to enhance communication and delivery of patient care; understanding of contemporary healthcare policy and advocacy strategies; interprofessional communication and collaboration; and application of culturally humble care concepts across diverse patient populations. The Department of Nursing offers three options within the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and the Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, as well as a baccalaureate (BSN) nursing program. Employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term. Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivery of a course (e.g., mentoring/coaching, preparation, teaching, grading, clinical site visits, office hours). In some instances, there may be some contracted responsibilities for advising, course development or meeting other departmental needs.
