About The Position

Central Maine Community College seeks an adjunct HVAC/R instructor to teach a variety of evening classes. The individual should have a good understanding of the refrigeration cycle and HVAC/R electrical wiring and the ability to interact with students. Must have the ability to use computers in various capacities. These courses are available for the fall semester 2026. The instructor will deliver curriculum, plan labs, order material and use a learning management system.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Certificate in Heating Ventilation Technology or significant work experience in the HVAC/R field
  • Good understanding of the refrigeration cycle and electrical control wiring for HVAC systems
  • Ability to interact with students
  • Ability to use computers in various capacities
  • Legally eligible for employment in the United States
