Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years related teaching experience in a field that demonstrates the ability to teach ESOL.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Bilingual Education preferred.
  • The preferred applicant will also have Instructional experience, preferably with an ethnically diverse urban population.
  • Ability to work with individuals in an enthusiastic and encouraging way; excellent oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts classes in academic areas, including but not limited to ESOL I & II, & III Reading Preparation and Academic Preparation;
  • Prepare all necessary reports;
  • Meets with Associate Coordinator of Instructional Services or Counselor when necessary;
  • Performs related duties as described in Faculty Handbook/Faculty Agreement.
