Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Energy Systems Technology (HVAC). Requirements

Certificate of Completion or A.S. degree in Energy Systems, HVAC, or equivalent field experience.
Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills to support interactions with diverse academic and non-academic audiences.
A minimum of two years work experience.
Good understanding of educational learning theory, as well as tutoring theory and practice.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
A commitment to working in a culturally diverse, urban community college.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Instruct and carry-on hands-on lab related to HVAC and Energy Systems courses that include: EST- 100 Theory of Controls (basic electricity and wiring), EST- 102 and EST-102L Fundamental HVAC Skills (basic wiring, soldering, steel and copper pipe processing, and oil burner components), and EST-200 & EST-200L Principles of Refrigeration (refrigeration cycle and refrigerant).
Observe safety during the lab and demonstrate understanding of the technicalities involved in residential and commercial HVAC skills.
