About The Position

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.

Requirements

• Qualified faculty by dental education according to the ADA Accreditation Standards: training, certification or license related to scope of practice and must be in accordance with the Florida Division of Medical Quality Assurance: Florida Board of Dentistry.
• This is a clinical teaching position.
• Applicant must have a current Florida Dental Hygiene License
• Minimum to two years' experience working as a Dental Hygienist
• Associate degree or higher.
• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
• Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
• Reach and grasp objects
• Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use of video display terminal
• Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• Communicate information orally and in writing
• Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
