About The Position

The Division of Criminal Justice and Military Science at Methodist University is looking for adjunct faculty for the Criminal Justice Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. We offer a variety of courses in the various forms of the criminal justice system, and are specifically looking for faculty who can teach in the areas of corrections, policing, victimology, etc. Part-time instructors can teach up to three courses per semester and will be responsible for developing and delivering course content (in line with course and programmatic outcomes), grading assignments, and providing feedback to students.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an MA in Criminal Justice, Criminology or Justice Studies
  • Some teaching experience, or experienced professionals (5 years or more) in the field.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of classroom teaching experience and/or online teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering course content (in line with course and programmatic outcomes)
  • Grading assignments
  • Providing feedback to students
